Karen Bulfin – Principal

Karen BulfinKaren Bulfin

Karen qualified as a Solicitor in 1985. Her interest in employment law was sparked in the early years of her career whilst working in the public sector. In 1994, with 3 young children and a brand new set of Employment Law Encyclopaedias installed in what was once her dining room, she set up her specialist employment law firm, Bulfin & Co. The Firm has grown to the 3 office practice that it is today and Karen herself is widely recognised as a specialist in her field.

Karen’s particular interests include shopping, theatre, ballet and dining out so it is not difficult to work out why her Firm specialises in the retail, entertainment and hospitality sectors. And even less of a surprise is that those 3 young children have grown up into 2 trainee Solicitors and a full time ballet student!

Karen is a member of the Employment Lawyers’ Association, the Law Society and the Independent Theatre Council (ITC). In her spare time she raises money for charity through singing with ‘Encore Voices’ and she performs, writes and directs for a community theatre group.
